The weather was wild, the path was on fire, thousands of people pushing themselves to their limits, my son among them. Inspirational and chaotic - full of success, emotion and endurance. Yet the Norfolk pines had seen it all before.

I’m not a natural spectator so to immerse myself in viewing was an intense experience.
