Hot Day at Brighton

$690.00

Acrylic on canvas

53 × 53cm

(Framed)

Hot day at Brighton is an abstract study in perseverance, strength & isolation. The bathing pavilions in Brighton Victoria have stood for decades, weathering the changing social and physical structures that have evolved around them.

Seen recently I was struck by the stark loneliness of the structures.

Pristine in their prim painting and perfect placement but seeming to lack integration with the vibrant community around them.
