Ocean Swim - Optimal Outcome

$690.00

Acrylic on canvas

53 × 53cm

(Framed)

Busselton Ironman 2024

This work is painted from hope—from the dream of an ideal swim. Clear water, sunlight dancing on the ocean floor, mild temperatures. Swimmers slicing through calm seas with strength and ease. A vision of grace and flow.

But the reality in early December was anything but gentle. Wind-whipped, grey-skied, and freezing. Swimmers emerged drenched, dazed, and chilled to the bone. Yet they kept going. Because endurance is not about comfort—it’s about grit, commitment, and moving forward no matter the conditions.

They signed up for this. And they endured.
